My journey as a dog trainer began years ago, starting with training my own dogs, including a beloved service dog that became my closest companion. Through this experience, I developed a deep passion for dog behavior and the power of the human-canine bond.

As I continued to learn and grow, I had the privilege of working with experienced mentors who helped me hone a diverse skill set - from mastering obedience training to building confidence through positive reinforcement. This extensive training has equipped me to tackle a wide range of canine needs, from basic obedience to mild reactivity modification.

Prior to becoming a trainer, I worked in the field of peer support and recovery, which instilled in me the crucial importance of compassion, patience, and understanding when working with others. I've come to realize that these qualities are equally vital in the dog training world, as I strive to empower both canines and their humans through a collaborative, relationship-focused approach.

Dogs bring me immense joy, and there is nothing more rewarding than witnessing the transformation that occurs when a dog and their person work together to reach their full potential. Building these positive connections is at the core of my training philosophy, and I take great pride in helping dogs and their humans forge unbreakable bonds.

“Aggression in a dog is similar to aggression in a human. We're both scared of what we don't understand, and our need to protect leads to aggression. Changing that aggression in a dog is more complex because the dog doesn't speak English, so I had to learn to speak dog.”
